The SS-4, SS-8, SS-16, and MC-8 Intelligent Multiport Controllers arecost-effective, high-performance, easy-to-install, full-featured, andreliable. Each port is capable of transmitting at 38,400 baudcontinuously. Less than 0.25 percent CPU overhead is required for eachkilobyte transferred. Only 1K memory address is required per port. Doesnot require DMA, interrupts, nor I/O addresses. Fully compatible withbus speed up to 16MHz. Fully supports 33 and 40MHz Intel386 and Intel486systems.Uses convenient phone cabling. Driver software provides multi-screen (3)per terminal attached as well as transplant printing. Five-year factorywarranty.Four SS-16 boards support a total of 64 terminals, modems, serialprinters, or other devices. MC-8 suports PS/2 MicroChannel computers.
